If it’s true, and MTV is really producing a Dawn of the Dead TV series (loosely based on the Romero classic), then I will be happier than a Zombie in a Brain store. Apparently it will feature both fast and slow moving zombies. The deader you get the slower you go, IE rotting corpses move slower than freshly minted Zombies.
I hope it doesn’t turn out to be a rumor. I suppose as long as AMC goes through with “The Walking Dead” I can survive.
According to Bloody Disgusting The Wagner/Cuban Companies’ Magnet Releasing, genre arm of Magnolia Pictures, announced today that it has acquired US rights to George A. Romero’s Survival of the Dead”.
Survival looks to be a progression of some of the themes from Land of the Dead. The zombies appear to have some sort of intelligence and are seen moving about in the trailer below. As well, the blood and gore levels seem to be far above the minimum required levels for a good Zombie flick. Overall I can’t wait to see this movie.
